As Americans, one of the most important holidays we observe is Veterans Day. November 11 always serves as a great reminder of the freedoms we enjoy in this great country.

Memorial Day weekend is almost here.
The 2022 legislative session has come to a close with several of my priorities now on the governor’s desk for his consideration.
The Missouri General Assembly has completed its only constitutional obligation, which is to send a balanced budget to the governor.
With two weeks remaining in this legislative session, we are continuing to work on bills that are important to the state.
As we get closer to the end of the 2022 legislative session, several of my priority bills continue to move through the legislative process.
More legislation is moving through the process as the 2022 legislative session heads into its final month.
As we enter into the final weeks of the legislative session, there is still much to get done.
This week, three of my bills were heard in committee. Senate Bill 1096 was heard in the Missouri Senate Insurance and Banking Committee.
Last week, Senate Bill 743 was passed by the Missouri Senate.

The governor has signed the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 supplemental budget bill, House Bill 3014

This was a shorter week than normal at the Capitol, but we still saw several visitors in our office.
This week, I was able to have one of my bills heard in committee.
We had a busy and productive week in the Missouri Senate.
With the conclusion of the second week of the 2022 legislative session, bills are already being referred to committees. As always, I appreciate hearing the public’s input on proposed legislation.
With the start of the 2022 legislative session, we have a lot to accomplish between now and the middle of May.
