Senator Brian Williams Begins First Legislative Session in the Missouri Senate

JEFFERSON CITY – State Sen. Brian Williams, D-University City, took the oath of office and was sworn in to serve the 14th Senatorial District during the First Regular Session of the 100th General Assembly. The 14th Senatorial District is comprised of part of St. Louis County.

“I am proud to serve the people of the 14th District,” Sen. Williams stated. “I look forward to collaborating with my fellow senators to improve the lives of all Missourians, and I am optimistic that by working together, we can bring about positive change in our state.”

Senator Williams previously worked as a congressional staffer in Washington D.C. He is a Board Director for People’s Health Care, a quality health care facility in Ferguson, Missouri, and works to connect unemployed and underemployed individuals with job opportunities through local career fairs.

The 2019 legislative session began Jan. 9 at noon and will conclude on May 17, 2019.
