State Sen. Bill White Appointed as Chairman of the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee

JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Bill White, R–Joplin, was appointed to seven committees including the Veterans and Military Affairs committee where he will serve as the chairman. This will be Sen. White’s first leadership role in the Missouri Senate as he serves the residents of the 32nd Senatorial District.

“I am honored to take on this leadership role as a Marine veteran and freshman senator in the Missouri Senate,” said Sen. Bill White. “Veterans and Military Affairs are two policy areas that I am very passionate about. I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure that veterans’ issues are promptly and properly handled in our great state.  Additionally, we need to proactively support our military facilities and active duty personnel throughout the state.”

Senator White was also appointed to the following committees: General Laws; Judiciary and Civil and Criminal Jurisprudence; Health and Pensions; and Commerce, Consumer Protection, Energy and the Environment; Joint Committee on Administrative Rules; and Joint Committee on Child Abuse and Neglect.
