State Sen. Bill White Sponsors Bill Addressing In-State Tuition for Students of Active Duty Service Members

JEFFERSON CITY — On Thursday, April 4, the Missouri passed Senate Bill 306 and sent it to the Missouri House of Representatives for further consideration. Senate Bill 306 is a proposal that allows for the remote registration of a student if one or both of the child’s parents are being relocated to Missouri under military orders and clarifies state law regarding the residency requirements for the children of military members who hope to receive in-state tuition from one of Missouri’s higher education institutions.

“I want our state to be an attractive option for military members and their families when they are considering moving to Missouri,” said Sen. Bill White.
