Based at St. Joseph’s Rosecrans Air National Guard Base, the 139th Airlift Wing was mobilized to help protect communities in Missouri and Kansas from flooding during the spring and summer of 2019. The unit was also called up to provide aid and transport relief supplies following hurricanes in the southeastern United States and the Caribbean.

“These brave men and women of Missouri’s Air National Guard are true heroes,” Sen. Luetkemeyer said. “It was a great honor to participate in their annual ball and express my appreciation for all the work they do on behalf of this state and our nation.”
