Senator Crawford’s Capitol Report, for the Week of April 2

Crawford---CapReport

We had a short week in the Missouri Senate, due to our Easter holiday, but we are back and working hard. This week, my Senate Bill 806 was heard in the Missouri House Judiciary Committee. This measure relates to guardianship and conservator proceedings. I am hopeful the Missouri House of Representatives will approve this proposal and send it to the governor’s desk for his consideration.

Both the Missouri Senate and House are discussing and debating several legislative proposals every day. While there is only a month and a half left in the legislative session, my colleagues and I are working hard to pass legislation that makes Missouri a better place to live, work and raise a family. Our only constitutional responsibility is approving and sending Missouri’s Fiscal Year 2019 budget to the governor, which has to be done by 6 p.m. on Friday, May 11. This will be a priority over the next couple of weeks.

Due to the number of visitors we receive from the district each week, I encourage you to call my office ahead of your visit to schedule an appointment.
