Sen. Bill Eigel Accepting Nominees for Lieutenant Governor’s Senior Service Award

JEFFERSON CITY —State Sen. Bill Eigel, R-Weldon Spring, is encouraging not-for-profit organizations located in St. Charles County to contact his office if they have a senior volunteer, who also resides in St. Charles County, they would like to nominate for the Lieutenant Governor’s Senior Service Award. This individual should be a senior citizen from the organization whose service and dedication to the community has made a difference.

“This is an opportunity to give public thanks and recognition to dedicated seniors whose volunteer work has had a positive impact on their fellow citizens,” Sen. Eigel said. “I am hopeful a senior citizen from our community is chosen for this special award.”

The recipients of the Senior Service Award will be announced on April 3. Each recipient will receive an official declaration from the lieutenant governor and an invitation to the Annual Senior Service Award Ceremony and luncheon, which will take place on May 4 at 1:00 in the first floor Capitol Rotunda.
