Sen. Dan Hegeman Congratulates Randy Huffman on Confirmation as Sullivan County Western District Commissioner

JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Dan Hegeman, R-Cosby, is proud to congratulate a resident of the 12th Senatorial District on his recent confirmation as commissioner for the Western District of Sullivan County.

Randy Huffman, a Republican from Galt, was selected by the governor to serve as commissioner in Sullivan County on Jan. 9. He traveled to the State Capitol on Jan. 23 for his confirmation hearing before the Senate Gubernatorial Appointments Committee. On Jan. 24, he was officially confirmed by the full Senate.

“I am proud to support Mr. Huffman’s confirmation in the Missouri Senate,” Sen. Hegeman said. “It’s always a pleasure to welcome someone from the Great Northwest to the State Capitol, and I have no doubt that the governor has made an excellent choice in selecting Mr. Huffman as a Sullivan County commissioner.”

Huffman graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in secondary education, going on to a 38-year career in education. Now retired, he continues to work part-time in the Grundy County R-5 School District.
