Sen. Crawford’s Capitol Report, for the Week of April 22

I have now seen two measures that contain language from my legislation be approved by the Missouri General Assembly and sent to the executive branch for consideration.

House Bill 182 contains portions of Senate Bill 54, which I sponsored. The proposal would modify provisions related to interest rates on insurance payments.

I sponsored Senate Bill 264, which can also be found in House Bill 612, legislation that seeks to transfer the Missouri Arts Council from the Missouri Department of Economic Development to the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.

It has been a long, but productive, road in getting both of these bills closer to the ultimate finish line. I would like to thank my colleagues, both in the Missouri Senate and the Missouri House of Representatives, for helping to get these two very important pieces of legislation through both chambers this session.

I handled both House bills in the Missouri Senate. They each await the governor’s signature.

I am honored to serve as your senator in the Missouri Senate. If, at any time, you have questions, concerns or ideas regarding state government, please feel free to contact me at (573) 751-8793 or Sandy.Crawford@senate.mo.gov.
