JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Brian Munzlinger, R-Williamstown, recently received the “Peter Myers Distinguished Service Award,” during the annual Missouri Agribusiness Association (MO-AG) banquet.

“I was not expecting this honor at all that night,” Sen. Munzlinger said. “The opportunity to chair the Missouri Senate’s Agriculture, Food Production and Outdoor Resources Committee is amazing, and it has been a pleasure to lead that panel for the past few years. I thank MO-AG for this award and for all of their help and guidance over the years.”

In the past, Sen. Munzlinger has presented the “Peter Myers Distinguished Service Award” at MO-AG’s yearly gathering. This year, he was presented with the award based on his years not only in the Legislature, but his time chairing the Missouri Senate Agriculture, Food Production and Outdoor Resources Committee, and for the legislation he has sponsored and passed on behalf of farmers throughout the Show-Me State.

In addition, other award recipients include:

“Again, I want to thank MO-AG for this incredible honor,” Sen. Munzlinger said. “And, I also want to thank my staff. Without them, I would not be able to do most of the things I am asked to do as a Missouri senator. Anytime we can highlight agriculture and its benefits not only to Missouri, but the world, we want to take that opportunity.”
