Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal: Newsletter for the Week of Feb. 9

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7 has published the Proposed Plan and initiated a public comment period for the West Lake Landfill Superfund Site, located in Bridgeton, Missouri.

The public comment period will run from Feb. 6, 2018, through March 22, 2018.

Public Meeting to inform residents of the Proposed Plan, and obtain comments on the Proposed Plan and EPA’s preferred remedy, will be held:

Tuesday, March 6, 2018
6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
District 9 Machinists Hall
12365 St. Charles Rock Road
Bridgeton, Missouri

Written comments will be accepted throughout the comment period, and oral comments may be submitted at the EPA Public Meeting.

EPA encourages residents to register in advance to submit comments at the Public Meeting. Registration will be held on a first-come, first-serve basis. Residents may register by contacting Ben Washburn, community involvement coordinator, at 913-551-7364 or washburn.ben@epa.gov.
