Senator Gary Romine Receives Education Award

JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Gary Romine, R-Farmington, was awarded the Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA) Friend of Education Award on April 4, 2018. Senator Romine was honored at an awards banquet during the association’s annual spring conference. The Friend of Education award is presented annually to recognize non-educators for their contribution to education in Missouri.

“I am honored to receive this recognition from people who are the backbone of our public schools.  As a former teacher, I am committed to public education and young people throughout Missouri,” stated Sen. Romine. “There are so many success stories in our public schools and I am proud to advocate for them”.

The mission of the Missouri Association of School Administrators is to develop and support effective public school leaders who have a positive impact on the lives of Missouri students. Senator Romine was one of eight individuals to receive the award after being nominated by school administrators in the Southeast MASA District.
