Senator Caleb Rowden Elected as Missouri Senate’s Next Majority Floor Leader

JEFFERSON CITY, MO –  Today, members of the Missouri Senate Majority Caucus elected Sen. Caleb Rowden, R-Columbia, to serve as the Senate’s next majority floor leader.

“I am humbled by my colleagues’ vote of confidence,” said Sen. Rowden. “I first entered into public service because, as a soon-to-be new father, I wanted to play an active role in shaping the future of the community my children would grow up in. The Missouri Senate’s Majority Caucus has consistently delivered results for the people of Missouri: lower taxes for working families, record education funding and a pro-growth business environment. I am committed to working with my fellow senators to articulate a positive, productive agenda for Missouri.”

Senator Rowden was elected to the Missouri Senate in 2016; he served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2013-2017. Prior to holding elected office, Sen. Rowden enjoyed a successful career as a touring Christian singer/songwriter. During that time, he played in 45 states, selling thousands of records and garnering two top 20 national radio hits.

Senator Rowden has been steadfast in his support for K-12 and higher education, and has played a significant role in creating a positive environment for Missouri’s small businesses. He lives in Columbia with his wife, Aubrey, and their two children, Willem and Adele. He is a small business owner and a graduate of Rock Bridge High School.
