This Week in the Missouri Senate for Aug. 11: New Laws

JEFFERSON CITY — This Week in the Missouri Senate reviews four measures that either have already become, or soon will:

  • Senate Bill 8, a proposal that changes the law relating to flashing lights on motor vehicles and equipment (Audio: Bill sponsor, Sen. Brian Munzlinger, R-Williamstown);
  • Senate Bill 16 exempts delivery charges from sales and use taxes (Audio: Sen. Jason Holsman, D-Kansas City);
  • Senate Bill 49, a measure that modifies several provisions relating to local sales taxes (Audio: Bill sponsor, Missouri Senate Minority Floor Leader Gina Walsh, D-Bellefontaine Neighbors); and
  • Senate Bill 62 makes changes to different aspects of various pension systems and forfeiture of a pension benefit due to a felony conviction (Audio: Bill sponsor, Sen. Dan Hegeman, R-Cosby).
