JEFFERSON CITY — This Week in the Missouri Senate reviews some of the more significant legislation from this year that didn’t make it to the governor’s desk:

  • Senate Bill 816, a measure that would have repealed the death penalty in Missouri (Audio: Sen. Paul Wieland, R-Imperial);
  • Senate Bill 653, which would have banned gender discrimination in the Show-Me State (Audio: Sen. Jill Schupp, D-Creve Coeur);
  • Senate Bill 902, legislation that would have let the state issue Real ID (Audio: Sen. Ryan Silvey, R-Kansas City); and
  • Senate Bill 907, which would have created a right to unpaid leave for employees affected by domestic violence (Audio: Sen. Gina Walsh, D-Bellefontaine Neighbors).
