SCS/SJRs 45 & 41 - This proposed constitutional amendment, if approved by the voters, would provide that school bond issues may be approved by simple majority (rather than by four-sevenths or two-thirds majority, as at present) at any general municipal election or any state general election day.

This act is similar to HJR 43.

SA 2 - CHANGES THE PHRASING OF A BALLOT MEASURE TO AMEND ARTICLE X SECTION 4 (a) OF THE MISSOURI CONSTITUTION. THE AMENDED LANGUAGE PROVIDES THAT PROPERTY TAX ON REAL PROPERTY OWNED AND USED FOR RESIDENTIAL PURPOSES BY ANYONE OVER AGE SIXTY-FIVE WOULD BE FROZEN FOR AS LONG AS THE PERSON RESIDES ON THE PROPERTY.
