Senator Steven Roberts Graduates from Elite Air Force Leadership School 

JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Steven Roberts, D-St. Louis, has successfully graduated from the United States Air Force Squadron Officer School (SOS). The esteemed educational course at Air University plays a crucial role in shaping the future leaders of the United States Air Force. Designed to prepare captains for higher-level leadership roles, SOS provides a comprehensive curriculum encompassing leadership development, ethics, military history and national security policy.

While at SOS, Senator Roberts undertook a rigorous program that honed his leadership skills and broadened his understanding of various aspects of military and national defense. The knowledge and skills acquired in this program are instrumental in ensuring that future Air Force officers are well-prepared to handle the complex challenges they may encounter throughout their careers.

“I am proud to have completed SOS,” Sen. Roberts said. “This experience has given me valuable insights into leadership and national security, which I believe will benefit my personal and professional growth and allow me to better contribute to and serve our community.” 

Throughout the duration of the program, Sen. Roberts exhibited outstanding leadership qualities, an unwavering commitment to excellence and a keen ability to think strategically.
