HB 929 - This act allows open burning of household refuse in unincorporated areas of certain counties, currently including Franklin County, except on those days during the period from May first to September thirtieth when the amount of low-level ozone in the nonattainment area containing the county is projected to exceed the maximum level allowable under federal air quality standards. Such open burning will no longer be permitted when the county's population exceeds 100,000.
