CCS/SCS/HB 789 - Under current law a political subdivision may request an audit by the State Auditor. The petition requesting the audit must be signed by twenty percent of the voters in a political subdivision where the votes cast for Governor in the last election prior to filing the petition is less than one thousand.

This act increases the percentage of required signatures to twenty-five percent of the registered voters who were eligible to vote at the last election for governor.
