HCS/HBs 788, 428 & 106 - This act revises laws requiring registration of certain offenders. Individuals who receive an execution of sentence for various offenses shall be required to register with law enforcement. The requirement shall apply to a person who is not a resident but is employed or attends school in the State, and who was required to register in any other state for an offense that requires registration in this state. The registrant must also register in the county where the registrant is employed, where the registrant attends school, and where the registrant intends to be for ten or more days.

Upon notification that the registrant has moved to another state, law enforcement shall forward the registration material. Registrants are required to notify law enforcement within ten days of any change of residence out of the county.

The Department of Public Safety shall develop a secure Internet site displaying registration of offenders information, including the offenders' names, dates of birth, addresses, crimes for which registration is required, status as predatory or persistent sexual offender, description of crimes, places and dates of pleas, age and gender of victims at time of offenses, and photographs. This provision shall expire on August 28, 2005.

A court shall enter the age of the victim into the case record upon a plea of guilty or conviction of a crime that requires the defendant to register. No person required to register shall be granted probation or parole without registration being a condition of the probation of parole.
