HB 0779 (Truly Agreed) Expands the right of counties to vacate certain property
Bill Summary
- Prepared by Senate Research -

SCS/HB 779 - This act expands the right of counties to vacate certain property. Current law allows vacations of streets, avenues, roads, alleys, and public squares. This act expands that right to include public easements. This act also requires notice to be given of a proposed vacation to utility providers that provide service in the area sought to be vacated.

If the county commission orders the requested vacation, the order must be filed with the county recorder of deeds.
