HB 0476 (Truly Agreed) Clarifies residency requirements for aldermen in fourth class cities
Bill Summary
- Prepared by Senate Research -

SCS/HB 476 - This act clarifies the residency requirements for aldermen in fourth class cities. The change requires aldermen to reside in the wards they represent from the time of filing for office throughout service. Current law sets the requirements for election as residency in the city for one year prior to the election, and in the ward from which the person is elected.

This act is the same as SCS/SB 90 (1999).
