HB 472 - This act modifies adoption investigation
procedures in certain circumstances. In the adoption of a child
where one of the petitioners is a natural parent and where all of
the parents have consented to the adoption, current law allows
the court to waive the investigation and report. This act,
however, prohibits the court from waiving the criminal background
check.
