HB 453 - This act distinguishes between the release by state agencies of Social Security numbers of living persons and those who are deceased. Current Missouri law restricts the release of all Social Security numbers but federal law permits the release of these numbers. This act will allow the release of Social Security numbers of deceased persons by State agencies unless the agency knows of a reason why the disclosure would be detrimental.
