SCS/HB 35 - Under current law, Kansas City is authorized to impose a tourism sales tax of up to five and one half percent with up to thirty percent of the proceeds allocated to the organization in Kansas City that promotes tourism for the city. This act increases the maximum tax to six percent and allocates forty percent to the organization that promotes tourism for Kansas City.

This act is similar to SB 35.
