SCS/HB 318 - The act authorizes rural fire protection and rural ambulance districts to offer health and life insurance to the district volunteers and their dependents.

The act also revises the qualifications required for two of the member positions on the Advisory Committee for 911 services board within the Department of Public Safety. The board seat for a representative of emergency physicians may also by filled by someone serving persons with mental illness. The board position designated for a member of the general public is changed to be a person representing an association providing 911 training.

This act is similar to Truly Agreed To SB 436.
