SCS/HB 315 - This act permits optometrists to certify that a person is disabled for the purpose of obtaining a disabled license plate. The fraudulent application, renewal, issuance or use of disabled license plate is a Class B misdemeanor. Under the act, it is a Class B misdemeanor for a physician, podiatrist, chiropractor or optometrist to certify a patient for a disabled license plate if the disability is outside their scope of practice.

This act is similar to SB 182, SB 19 and CCS/SCS/HCS/HB 343.
