Current Bill Summary

HCS#2/SB 25 - This act requires that a summary of autopsy results be provided to the parents or guardian in sudden infant death syndrome cases. Parents may also obtain the full autopsy report. The family physician may receive the report, upon parental request. In addition, individuals with a direct and tangible interest, as defined by the Department of Health, may also receive the full report. Requests by the parents for a full report should be honored within thirty days. This act is substantially similar to HB 278.
