Current Bill Summary

SB 17 - This act modifies Section 304.170.4 by allowing recreational motor vehicles up to 45 feet in length to be operated upon the highways. Current law states that a single motor vehicle cannot be operated upon the highways if it is over 40 feet. This act also permits recreational motor vehicles to exceed the statutory width limits by allowing the appurtenances to extend as far as the vehicle's rearview mirrors.

This act also authorizes a property or security manager to have an abandoned vehicle towed without prior authorization from law enforcement under certain circumstances.
