HB 1588 - This act changes the base fiscal year used to calculate the amount of tax revenue from insurance premiums to credit to the Fire Education Fund from FY 1995 to FY 1997. Current law provides that three percent of the amount of insurance premium tax proceeds in the previous year which are in excess of the amount in FY 1995 shall be transferred to the Fire Education Fund.
