HB 1274 - This act defines the mission and goals of Head Start programs. The act requires each program to have a council or committee to provide policy direction for each local program. Each organization operating a Head Start program is also required to establish a health services advisory committee. Subject to appropriation, this act allows the state to provide financial assistance to Head Start programs.
