HB 1158 (Truly Agreed) Allows use of local park tax outside of municipality or county if a cooperative agreement exists
Bill Summary
- Prepared by Senate Research -

SCS/HB 1158 - This act allows a municipality or county to use its local parks sales tax revenues for local parks outside the municipality or county if engaged in a cooperative agreement with another political subdivision. Current law restricts the use of the revenue to local park or storm water control within the municipality or county.

The act also changes the procedure for filling vacancies on the Board of Commissioners of Tower Grove Park. The change expands the current language such that the appointments by the Missouri supreme court shall be from a slate of appointees, and allows the board to appoint a person should the supreme court fail to act.
