HB 1103 - This act provides an exception to the 1997 amendments to the durable power of attorney law. The exception applies to powers executed prior to January 1, 1999, and provides that the law in effect prior to August 28, 1997, applies if it is more favorable in construing the power of attorney to be durable or to grant a power sought to be exercised by the attorney-in-fact.
