Current Bill Summary

SB 650 - This act would allow any pupil or the parent or guardian of a student in a school district under a federal court school desegregation order to make a written request that the student be allowed to attend the school in the district which is closest to the student's home. Other students may attend a school only after all such requests which are received by July 1 of the school year have been satisfied.
