SB 534 - This act makes it unlawful for any person, partnership, firm, corporation, association or other entity to permanently replace an employee in an industry or business where there is a labor strike or lockout involving a recognized labor organization which has given adequate notice to the employer of the existence of the labor strike or lockout. Violators are subject to a civil penalty of not less than $1,000 per day per violation. This act exempts state and federal employees and necessary plant maintenance personnel.
