SB 490 - This act replaces associate circuit judge positions with circuit court judge positions in St. Louis City. Each new circuit judge position will be created when a vacancy occurs in an associate circuit judge position. Six new circuit court judge positions will be created. However, there will be at least one associate circuit judge position in the St. Louis City Circuit at all times.
This legislation is similar to SB 802 from 1994.
