SJR 2 - This joint resolution, if adopted by Missouri voters, prohibits any legislation passed by the General Assembly which increases, broadens or imposes a new tax or fee, which is estimated by the Oversight Division to generate at least $10 million in revenue, from becoming effective until a majority of voters voting on the proposal approves the legislation. This requirement shall not apply if the legislation is passed by at least a two-thirds majority in both houses of the General Assembly.
