SB 948 - Under current law, no political subdivision shall adopt any order or ordinance relating to the sale, purchase, or ownership of a firearm unless it conforms exactly with state law. This act adds that any officer of a governing body who violates those provisions shall be subject to a penalty of $1,000 for every offense and shall be guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
