Current Bill Summary

SB 1273 - This act provides that no employer shall prohibit any employee from having a firearm in the employee's vehicle or the company's vehicle while the employee is conducting activities within the scope of his or her employment, including when the employee is conducting activities within the scope of employment off the employer's property. Any employer that violates the provisions of this act shall be held civilly liable to the employee for any damages to person or property and shall be liable for all court costs and attorney's fees.
