SJR 56 - Currently, the Missouri Constitution allows the Highways and Transportation Commission to expend money from the State Road Fund without an appropriation by the General Assembly. This constitutional amendment, if approved by voters, provides that money from the State Road Fund shall not be used to employ personnel in an amount greater than that approved annually by the General Assembly. This constitutional amendment is similar to SJR 57 (2022), SJR 58 (2022), and SJR 59 (2022). ERIC VANDER WEERD
