SB 415 - Under current law, adult orders of protection shall be valid for at least 180 days and no longer than one year and may be subject to renewal for up to one year. This act modifies this provision and allows such renewed orders, after a hearing by the court, to be valid for a period of time not to exceed the lifetime of the respondent.
