JEFFERSON CITY — A new state law aimed at transparency is now in effect. Senate Bill 213 enacts new provisions relating to the nonpartisan state demographer. It took effect on Aug. 28.

JEFFERSON CITY — Lawmakers returned to the State Capitol for the First Extra Session of the First Regular Session of the 100th General Assembly. In addition, lawmakers also gaveled in for the annual Veto Session.
