JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri senators have started the 2018 legislative session, which officially started at noon today (1/3) and will end on May 18. There are almost as many priorities for the Missouri Senate as there are members of the upper chamber.

Missouri State Capitol Undergoes Extensive Renovation Project


JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri State Capitol is undergoing a full exterior renovation for the first time since the building was constructed in 1917. With a budget of nearly $27 million, 50 to 75 construction workers will modernize the deteriorating stonework of the building’s façades, dome and drum, with a scheduled completion date of December 2020.
