Senator Jill Schupp Releases District 24 Constituent Survey Preliminary Results

JEFFERSON CITY – Sen. Jill Schupp, D-Creve Coeur, today released preliminary results on the legislative survey distributed to the residents of District 24. Nearly 1,400 individuals have responded so far. The survey will remain open through May 31, 2016. A tabulation of the initial responses to each question are listed below.

Individuals should not be able to be fired from their jobs based on their sexual orientation.

Support:          1138    84%

Oppose:           162      12%

Property owners should not be able to deny rental to someone based on the renter’s sexual orientation.

Support:          998      74%

Employees working with equal skill, effort and responsibility should be compensated equally, regardless of gender.

With exceptions for health or religious reasons, health care facility employees should be required to receive an annual influenza vaccination.
