SB 192 – This act requires the Department of Mental Health to develop a continuing professional education curriculum for the recognition and response to eating disorders in young people by December 31, 2011. The Department must collaborate with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Missouri Eating Disorder Council. Any school district may adopt and implement this curriculum for its school nurses, health care professionals, psychologists, counselors, and athletic coaches who are responsible for students in grades six through twelve. This act is identical to HB 586 (2011) and a provision contained in HCS/SB 147 (2011) and HCS/SB 243 (2011). MICHAEL RUFF
