SB 831 - This act allows counties of the first classification to establish curfews for persons under the age of seventeen. Any minor who violates such curfew is guilty of a Class C misdemeanor. If the minor's parent or guardian has knowledge of such violation, he or she is also guilty of a Class C misdemeanor. This act is identical to a provision of HCS/SB 386 (2009) and similar to a provision in SS/SCS/HCS/HB 1290 (2010), HCS/SS/SCS/SB 580 (2010), and HCS/SCS/SB 887 (2010). SUSAN HENDERSON MOORE
