SB 939 – This act modifies the use of the Consumer Price Index in evaluating the change in tuition rates at public higher institutions of education. Current law compares the Consumer Price Index on January first of the current year with January first of the previous year. This act requires that the percentage change in the annual average of the Consumer Price Index be used instead. MICHAEL RUFF
