SB 582 - This act increases certain user fees collected by county recorders by $1 for one year. The fee shall be used by the secretary of state for preservation of local records. The $1 increase shall sunset in one year. During such time, the appropriation authority provided by the local records preservation fund within the secretary of state's office shall not exceed the level established in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2011. All requests for records dated after December 31, 1969, shall be made to the office in which the record was originally filed. SUSAN HENDERSON MOORE
