SB 88 - Under current law, property is deemed abandoned when it has been on the right-of-way of any highway or freeway in an urbanized area for 10 hours, but property on the right-of-way on any highway or freeway outside of an urbanized area is not abandoned until it has been on the right-of-way for 48 hours. This act amends the current law so that property is deemed abandoned after it has been left unattended for 10 hours on the right-of-way of the state highway system. The urbanized and non-urbanized distinctions are repealed so that abandoned property is subject to subject to tow after the property has been left unattended for 10 hours. STEPHEN JOHN WITTE
