SB 12 – This act allows school boards to develop and adopt a policy to provide additional pay or stipends to teachers of certain subject areas or disciplines, irrespective of any collective bargaining agreement. A school board's policy must identify any subject area or discipline that would receive such pay or stipend and contain a rationale for why it is appropriate. The Board of Education will determine the amount of any additional pay or stipend. MICHAEL RUFF
